
Car accidents, power tool mishaps, or even criminal violence. At a moment’s notice, anyone might find themselves in a situation where someone’s life is threatened by a severe injury. The number one cause of preventable death after injury is serious bleeding. Stop the Bleed
is intended to prepare the public to save lives by teaching basic actions to stop life-threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies and man-made and natural disasters. The campaign was initiated by a federal interagency workgroup convened by the National Security Council, and is administered by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.
In this 2-hour class, you’ll learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly to control it through the use of trauma dressings, wound packing, and tourniquets. Instead of being a witness, you can save a life because you know how to Stop the Bleed
