Stop the Bleed™️

Car accidents, power tool mishaps, or even criminal violence. At a moment’s notice, anyone might find themselves in a situation where someone’s life is threatened by a severe injury. The number one cause of preventable death after injury is serious bleeding. Stop the Bleed™️ is intended to prepare the public to save lives by teaching basic actions to stop life-threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies and man-made and natural disasters. The campaign was initiated by a federal interagency workgroup convened by the National Security Council, and is administered by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.

In this 2-hour class, you’ll learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly to control it through the use of trauma dressings, wound packing, and tourniquets. Instead of being a witness, you can save a life because you know how to Stop the Bleed™️.
